Nine months ago I began my experience with Sacyr, thanks to an agreement with the College of Roads, Channels and Ports. The assessment so far is clearly positive, as I have had the opportunity to work with people dedicated to their careers and willing to share experiences; good people and good professionals to take as a reference. My employment with Sacyr Environment USA began four months ago, as the last phase of the Basque Regional Government internationalisation Internships. As a roadway engineer specialising in environmental engineering and business internationalisation, this opportunity is enriching professionally as well as personally. From the first moment I felt like part of the team, taking part in such a challenging project as opening market in a country, the USA, which offers many opportunities but also presents major challenges. Sacyr has the Talentya Programme, a programme that is recognised and acknowledged within and outside of the organization.
This programme is specifically aimed at recent graduates who are starting their careers and are interested in joining a company that loves challenges and has accredited leadership in the management and construction of complex infrastructure projects.
In all areas of the company in Spain and abroad, the objective of the Talentya Programme is to hire the best junior talent in an ambitious and structured development program with a specific Retention Plan. Over 24 months you will have the opportunity, within a specific career plan, to develop towards future key positions in the company.
The group is set up by recent graduates, with strong language skills and available for International Mobility .
One day, suddenly, I was offered to come to Panama. It's the project which everyone talks about and when I was offered to work there I couldn't say no, so here I am. I recommend this experience to everybody because there are many opportunities abroad, where you can see different ways of working.
