The main mission of the Sacyr Human Resources area is to attract, develop, retain and motivate the best professionals in order to make the Group’s ambitious strategic plan a reality. The department’s work begins with a profound understanding of the business' needs, and with this knowledge, talent acquisition processes are designed and implemented. In addition, specific training and development programs are designed to foster the growth of each professional within the Organisation.
The area is also responsible for all matters related to personnel administration, employment relations and international mobility, and therefore since a great deal of time and effort is invested into training professionals, loyalty must be fostered through compensation strategies and specific motivation, which multiplies their satisfaction and commitment to the Group.
People are considered a competitive advantage and HR considers the Organisation’s objectives its own. When a project is awarded, the wheel is put into motion to bring together the best teams to complete it successfully, which involves an entire prior analysis and examination of the people, which is a very intricate process, given that incorrect implementation of a project or abandonment of a worker is also a failure to the department. No one day is like any other; it is nice to work with people, they are unpredictable and surprising. Helping people to grow professionally, appreciating their efforts and seeing their achievements, fortunately, is the essence of my job.
